Whenever an organisation structure is present and the same agent lender requests via ALD that a principal/fund be onboarded for multiple legal entities within that organisation structure, the onboarding workflows are automatically linked together
Upon accessing an onboarding workflow, if it is linked with another workflow within the organisation then there will be a Linked indicator appearing below the workflow’s name in the open tray of Task Manager. The workflow in the screenshot below exists in the Generico BD Advisory Ltd legal entity.
In this instance, completing several tasks within this onboarding workflow advances it from “2 of 11 tasks completed” to “5 of 11 tasks completed” within the Generico BD Advisory Ltd legal entity.
Using the leftmost menu to navigate to another of the legal entities – Generico Global – another onboarding workflow for the same principal is present. Clicking on this opens the workflow tray and it also has the Linked indicator. Although no tasks have been completed directly on this onboarding workflow, it has also advanced to “5 of 11 tasks completed” because the workflow it is linked with was progressed and the statuses are synchronised between them.
If a linked workflow needs to be decoupled from the others it is linked with then this can be done by clicking on the ellipsis within the workflows tray and then on the Unlink Workflow button.
A confirmation pop-up appears that explains the consequences of decoupling linked workflows from one another. If this is the desired result, then clicking Yes, Unlink Workflow will finalise the unlinking of this workflow from others.
Note: Once unlinked from one another, workflows cannot be linked together again so this action should only be performed when there is certainty that these should progress independently.
After being unlinked from the other onboarding workflow(s) the Linked indicator is no longer shown within the workflows tray. Any tasks completed on this workflow will not be synchronised to others, and any tasks completed on the workflow(s) that were previously linked to this one will not be synchronised to this workflow either.
